The“Shutters”concept aims to encourage communities to build connections withone another, regardless of the weather. Designed to resemble a camera shutter,the roof, powered bysolar energy, opens and closes in order for citizens to bothenjoy the sunshine and seek shelter from the rain. With a flexible tab connectingeach triangular flap, only one section is needed to lower or rise to accommodateever-changing weather conditions. “Shutters”is a structural concept that canserve as a tent, pavilion, or even inspiration for a building.
